Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine strategies for improving the quality of Indonesian rail transportation services and the obstacles in implementing these strategies. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research results show strategies for improving the quality of Indonesian rail transportation 1. Organizational Strategy (Corporate Strategy) This organizational strategy is related to the formulation of vision and mission, value goals, as well as strategic innovations and restrictions that will be needed, namely what will be done next. 2. Program Strategy: This strategy is more concerned with the strategic implications of a particular program, and what the consequences would be if a particular program were introduced or launched and what the consequences would be for the organization. 3. Resource Support Strategy: This strategy is more focused on how to optimize the use of resources in the essential ways that still exist. Other indicators are 4. Supporting Factors and Inhibiting Factors. This factor aims to determine the existing background of an organization.  The inhibiting factors are the disciplinary actions of some officers, low passenger awareness of the environment and cleanliness, passengers' lack of compliance with regulations.
